Hostels, I found out, traditionally offer much lower rates than hotels or bed and breakfasts. Accommodations can be anything from single rooms to a bed in a dorm with prices starting at $20.00 per night. Sound interesting? I thought so. Tim was quite the tour guide, full of fun and definitely a man who loves what he does. His attention to detail is apparent throughout the hostel. The house was built in 1880 and you'll find it's updated Victorian architecture quite pleasing. The rooms are large and comfortable with multi-zone air conditioning. You can choose from:
Other common areas include the welcoming front porch across the front of the house, a private back patio, spacious living room, dining room, pool room complete with pool table, double kitchen and laundry room. A full double kitchen is available for your use. You can cook all your meals right there which will save you a bundle on eating out. The full size fridge has room enough for all the guests food. A roll of tape is provided so you can write your name on your goodies. You'll also find lots of movies, an extensive library and games galore. Grab a good book and curl up on the back porch for a relaxing afternoon. For those of you a bit more social, you'll find interesting people and good conversation on the front porch. Pull up a chair and set a spell. Fresh brewed coffee is always available so stop in and find out just what "Yallaha" means. Home away from home!
