This is actually the site where a military hospital stood during the Second Spanish Colonial Period from 1784 – 1821.
There are several rooms that include the mourning room (I guess I don’t have to tell you what this one was for!), the surgeon’s office, the ward, and the apothecary.
Wait until you see the “tools” that were used; quite frightening and the beds didn’t look any too comfortable either. An inexpensive stop as you tour around St. Augustine.
