St. Augustine is known as the birthplace of Christianity in the continental United States.
When Pedro Menendez landed In 1565, the first Catholic Mass was celebrated by Father Lopez on the grounds of the Mission Nombre de Dios.
Henry Flagler built three churches in the late 1800’s, the crown jewel being his Memorial Presbyterian Church. The architecture is stunning.
The Cathedral-Basilica is another incredible church you won’t want to miss.
