November in St. AugustineI don't know where the time goes. It seems just a few days ago I was writing our October newsletter and here it is November. I have had quite a busy month, the highlight was attending an SBI conference in Orlando (SBI is the company that has given me the tools I needed to build www.st-augustine-travel-guide.com). It was informative, very interesting, loads of fun and a great opportunity to meet a whole roomful of other folks who are using SBI to build their web business. Talk about brainstorming, our minds were working overtime sharing and helping each other. What a great group of people. I love hanging out with fellow entrepreneurs, it is so energizing! Just a quick side note - if any of you are interested in building a web business SBI is offering a great special but just until the end of October. You still have a little time left if you are interested. I have taken advantage of the low humidity and bright blue skies to get out photograph our lovely city. It seems there are photographic opportunities around every corner. I love my digital camera. Remember when we had to buy the film, take the photographs, run the film back to the store to get it to get developed, wait a couple of days, and then we finally got to see our pictures? What a remarkable improvement. These last few days have brought the coldest temperatures so far this year, almost setting a record. Two nights ago it dropped into the 30's. Brrr, very unusual for October. The good news is that it will be back up in the 70's by the weekend. Our normal daytime temperatures in October and November are usually in the 70's with nighttime temps dropping into the 50's. It doesn't get much better than that. I hope you'll take advantage of this wonderful time of the year and make plans to visit St. Augustine, you'll be glad you did. What’s New:Several new pages are up that you'll want to be sure to look over. The first is our new St. Augustine Interviews page. I thought you would like to meet some of our local VIP's. Several more interviews will be added throughout the month so check back to meet some very interesting people who love St. Augustine. There are new vacation rental opportunities listed here on this page. If you'd like something more than just a hotel room there are several great homes you can rent. Carefully compare the cost. When you factor in eating out vs. eating in you might save a few dollars with one of these rentals. See what you think. You'll want to read what others think about our local restaurants on our St. Augustine Restaurant Reviews page (just scroll down to read the reviews). Take a minute to let us know which is your favorite restaurant. In the next few weeks I will be adding our St. Augustine Beach pages where you'll learn all about this wonderful beach community. Wide sandy beaches, great restaurants, luxurious hotels, and just a short drive into St. Augustine; sounds like the perfect place to spend your vacation, you'll see. I'll also be adding the St. Augustine Art pages where I'll introduce you to our talented artists, guide you to our local art galleries and tell you all about our monthly Artwalk and Uptown San Marco events. You won't want to miss this. Be sure to check back often to see what‘s new. Upcoming St. Augustine Events:November Events:

Build Your Own Web BusinessHave you thought about building your own web business? If I can do it you can do it. I highly recommend SiteSell, the company I use to build this site. What I love, is that they teach you how to build a web business not just put up a website. How to be successful. Dr. Ken Evoy, the founder, really delivers. I have never met him, but you know what, he seems like a friend that really cares whether I and my fellow SBI'ers are successful. Dr. Evoy has changed lives! Check out My Website Story and see what you think. Watch for these new pages coming to St-Augustine-Travel-Guide.com very soon:
Ok, that's it for this issue - see you next time and I hope you have a wonderful visit to St. Augustine, Florida, my hometown! Return from Travelers Tidbits 4 to |
