June in St. Augustine"Hello" from our home, "Rain rain go away, come again another day." Have we had rain; inches and inches of rain, record breaking amounts of rain. I'm happy to say, though, the worst of it is over and now we are back to days of sunshine. I was beginning to wonder if I was going to have to revise one of my favorite sayings, "the sun almost always shines in St. Augustine". It does look like we are settling into our summer weather pattern of late afternoon thunder showers. I have actually come to enjoy them as it rains hard and quick, then it cools right off making for very pleasant evenings. I do have to dash around and unplug our computers and TV's just in case the lightening gets too close. Power surges can be very nasty. Very important recommendation: If you are going to be outside at dusk or dawn be sure to use mosquito repellent. They are out in swarms since we've had all this rain. If you are planning on camping or hiking in the woods make sure you use the repellent. You don't want to be dinner for the mosquitoes! Our chicken saga continues. Our one hen we have left has now gone broody which means she is just sitting on her nest hoping to hatch some chicks! It also means, no eggs for me, not a one. She'll sit on the her nest for several weeks then she'll be up and around again and hopefully, back to laying eggs for me to enjoy! There is nothing like fresh eggs from free ranging hens. We hope you'll be visiting the Nation's Oldest City very soon. Isn't it time for vacation? All the best, Lynn Featured Articles:
St. Johns RV Park | St. Augustine Flea MarketIf you are in St. Augustine over the weekend you'll want to spend a day exploring our real old fashioned St. Augustine Flea Market. You'll have a great time poking through all the "stuff" on and under the vendors tables. Wouldn't it be fun to end up on the Antique Roadshow with a valuable treasure you found at the flea market. It's possible you know. Read More... St. Johns RV Park and Storage Right next door to the St. Augustine Flea market is St. Johns RV Park and Storage. This is a great campground. There is a beautiful lake with a gazebo for fishing or just sitting and watching the sun set. I think you'll like it here. Read more... Villa Zorayda Museum I mentioned in my last newsletter how much I enjoyed my visit to the Villa Zorayda Museum. This is just a reminder to add this to your list of fun and interesting things to do. Build Your Own Web BusinessHave you thought about building your own web business? If I can do it you can do it. I highly recommend SiteSell, the company I use to build this site. What I love, is that they teach you how to build a web business not just put up a website. How to be successful. Dr. Ken Evoy, the founder, really delivers. I have never met him, but you know what, he seems like a friend that really cares whether I and my fellow SBI'ers are successful. Dr. Evoy has changed lives! Check out My Website Story and see what you think.
