February in St. Augustine

Greetings from our home,

Well, I must say it's rather chilly today; 45 with a brisk wind from the north. Now don't laugh if you are "up north" where it is really cold, that would seem like a nice spring day to you, right?

I guess when you live in Florida your body gets used to warm weather and you feel the cold a bit more. The good news is it is going to be in the 60's, maybe even 70's, by the weekend.

We have had more cold weather this year than I can ever remember. We generally have a few cold days and some years a freeze or two but this year I think we have had at least three major freezes (down in the 20's) and tonight it is going into the 20's again. Thankfully, our wood stove has been keeping us toasty warm.

Even our kitty and Molly, our aging Chihuahua, don't want to be outside for more than a minute or two. Talk about spoiled...oh well, that's half the fun of having pets. Speaking of pets be sure to check out our new Pet Friendly page if you travel with your pets. Lots of good information. I even found a gem of a "condo-tel" not just for pet owners but everyone.

A beautiful spot on Camachee Harbor about five minutes from downtown St. Augustine. The Inn at Camachee Harbor, I'll be adding it to our Hotels page very soon. Read my review a few paragraphs down.

I hope you're making plans to visit St. Augustine, you'll be glad you did.

We hope to see you soon.

All the best,
Lynn

Special St. Augustine "Condo-tel" Review:

A beautiful sight that will greet you each morning
at the Inn at Camachee Harbor
Camachee Harbor, St Augustine Florida

Inn at Camachee Harbor

I get so excited when I find something special to share with you!! This is one of those wonderful finds. The Inn at Camachee Harbor is hidden away surrounded by old oaks and lush gardens while perched on the edge of Camachee Harbor.

This is a small harbor just off the Intracoastal Waterway which runs along the eastern side of St. Augustine.

The Inn considers itself a "condo-tel" which is like a condo-hotel combination. All of the rooms have a private deck overlooking the harbor and marina or a private garden. I checked out three of the rooms - although I hate to call them just rooms as they are so much more.

The first offered an upper level bedroom and bathroom with the lower level a very nice sitting area. Both with wonderful views of the marina. The second was a suite with private bedroom, living room, deck and screened porch. The third was more like a hotel room however it was exceptionally large with a lovely garden just outside.

The Inn is small so you might want to make your reservations well in advance I would imagine they book up quite quickly.

Rates are from $99.00 per night to $169.00 per night. I think you will really enjoy a stay at the Inn at Camachee Harbor.

Build Your Own Web Business

Have you thought about building your own web business? If I can do it you can do it. I highly recommend SiteSell, the company I use to build this site. What I love, is that they teach you how to build a web business not just put up a website. How to be successful.

Dr. Ken Evoy, the founder, really delivers. I have never met him, but you know what, he seems like a friend that really cares whether I and my fellow SBI'ers are successful. Dr. Evoy has changed lives! Check out My Website Story and see what you think.
