September in St. AugustineSeptember has arrived and with it hurricane season. June 01, is the official start of hurricane season but we don't see much activity until late August and September. Those are the busiest months for hurricanes in our area. Thankfully, Fay didn't cause much harm. Our oak trees lost a few limbs and lots of twigs and we had to spend a day cleaning up the debris, but all in all it wasn't too bad. As I write this the gulf coast is preparing for the inevitable landfall of Gustav, and I must say, it doesn't look good. My heart goes out to those folks. Right on Gustav's heels is Hannah. We are keeping a close watch on her as they don't really know where she is planning to go. This is the price we pay for living on the coast. It is absolutely wonderful most of the year, but there are times when it is a bit of a challenge. We're hopeful we'll be spared this year. Jim and I spent several weeks in upstate NY in July with my brother and his family. On the weekends, we worked; selling our handcrafted driftwood birds at several art shows. During the week we spent our time touring around the backroads and relaxing by the lake. The countryside was breathtaking with high green hills, deep lakes, and prosperous farms. It was wonderful spending time in such a beautiful part of the country with family and friends.
What’s New:I have been busy adding pages to St-Augustine-Travel-Guide.com. Our three day itineraries are up. Next I'm going to add Jim and my favorite. Be sure to print out our itineraries and keep them handy, you don’t want to miss anything while you are visiting. I also have up our new St-Augustine-Travel-Guide Site Search page. Our site is growing rapidly with the addition of more and more information. I wanted to add this page to help you find just what you are looking for. Just type your search term in the Google box and it will search our entire site and bring you back the pages with the term you were looking for. I hope you find it helpful. You'll also want to check out my new Points of Interest page. It seems there is something interesting around every corner in St. Augustine. This page will point you to the interesting and unusual points of interest. And, they are all FREE! In the next few weeks I will be adding our St. Augustine Fishing pages where you'll meet Matt Wrann, our local fishing pro and family friend, who will share his tips for landing the "big one". I'll also be adding the College page where you can learn all about the educational opportunities in St. Augustine. Be sure to check back often to see what‘s new.

Build Your Own Web BusinessHave you thought about building your own web business? If I can do it you can do it. I highly recommend SiteSell, the company I use to build this site. What I love, is that they teach you how to build a web business. How to be successful. Dr. Ken Evoy, the founder, really delivers. I have never met him, but you know what, he seems like a friend that really cares whether I and my fellow SBI'ers are successful. Dr. Evoy has changed lives! Check out My Website Story and see what you think.
